The group MODYSSEY (Modyssey) captured attention by presenting upgraded visuals and a delightful team chemistry through the new variety show "SAY SAY MODYSSEY."
With an official debut set for April 13, MODYSSEY (Hengwei, Pan Zeyi, Lizhao, Linlin, Suren, Yichen, ROWAN) premiered the Mnet real-variety show "SAY SAY MODYSSEY" on the 20th. Through the program, they opened the door to their full-scale journey to grow into global idols, revealing a variety of charms and potential.
"SAY SAY MODYSSEY" is a project-style reality show that follows "Central and South F7" MODYSSEY, selected through various auditions and survival rounds, as they take on the challenge of the K-pop market. The members participate in various missions and variety challenges documenting their journey to become global idols. In particular, unpredictable games held throughout their travels and the members' unvarnished daily lives combine to show a three-dimensional charm different from their stage presence.
In the first episode released, the members' distinctive self-introductions drew attention from the start. Pan Zeyi delivered a bold line to fans, "Can I like you (fan)?", and Linlin, ROWAN, Suren, and Yichen revealed their colors with emotional expressions and witty talk. In addition, Hengwei and Lizhao left a memorable impression of a "global rookie" by simultaneously showing humor and confidence with the charismatic line, "From today I'll make you (fan) mine."
Then the bus carrying the members headed for the East Sea, and the curtain rose on the full-scale journey. They took on the first mission, a "Korean language proficiency test," and showcased their variety skills by playing various games such as "four-syllable continuation," "initial consonant game," and "say it in a row." Their awkward yet passionate appearances provoked laughter, and in the following "rest stop snack race" they completed authentic team chemistry by giving their all until the end despite the fluster.
After arriving at the East Sea, a stamina test mission followed and the atmosphere heated up. Even amid unpredictable situations such as the flag race and missions for deciding the evening menu, the members encouraged one another and strengthened their teamwork, and particularly tense moments surrounding whether to enter the winter sea unfolded, further raising curiosity about the next episode.
In this way, "SAY SAY MODYSSEY" captured strong impressions from the first episode by showcasing both the members' variety skills and human charms that they had not fully shown on stage. Each member's individuality and chemistry naturally emerged, stirring fans' excitement even before debut.
MODYSSEY is a seven-member global boy group formed through "Boys 2 Planet" and "Planet C: Home Race," and will release their debut single "1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony" on April 13 and begin full-scale activities.
Meanwhile, Mnet's "SAY SAY MODYSSEY," which documents MODYSSEY's growth toward becoming global idols, airs every Friday at 7 p.m.
