'2 Days & 1 Night' members wrapped up their miraculously dramatic trip to Cheongdo.
On the 22nd, the KBS 2TV variety program 2 Days & 1 Night season 4 (hereafter 2 Days & 1 Night) aired the second installment of the five members' "time capsule Race" held in Cheongdo County, North Gyeongsang Province. The program maintained first place in its time slot with a nationwide Nielsen Korea rating of 7.0%. The scene in which Kim Jongmin and Lee Jun, who went out for dawn labor, felt rewarded while eating a snack prepared with freshly harvested water parsley registered a peak minute rating of 11.1%.
After finishing the "time capsule Race," the final result was that Seyoon's team (Moon Seyoon, DinDin, Yoo Seonho) each acquired 30 time capsules, and Jongmin's team (Kim Jongmin, Lee Jun) acquired 10 time capsules, and a time capsule draw to decide the final fate of the two teams was held. Kim Jongmin and Lee Jun hoped for luck to overturn the odds, but ultimately the Seyoon team, which had won more missions, became the final winner of the Race. Conversely, the defeated Kim Jongmin and Lee Jun were confirmed to have the punishment of going to dawn labor the next day.
After finishing the Race and moving to base camp, the 2 Days & 1 Night team held a "predictive jokgu" match against the staff team as a dinner luck-based game. The members not only had to win the jokgu match but also had to win with the score each had predicted earlier to get dinner. If they won with a score of 10-0 or 10-9, all members could eat.
In the early stages of the match, the 2 Days & 1 Night team fell behind 0-3 as the staff team took the initiative. The five flustered members even called a timeout to regroup, then launched a fierce comeback and turned the score around.
But as the winning threshold of 10 points approached, the five members began a tactical battle to end the match with the scores they had predicted. The members deliberately made mistakes and openly manipulated the score, and in the meantime allowed the staff team to catch up, bringing the score to 9-9.
Thus the only remaining possibility for the five members was to win 10-9. As both teams carefully extended the rally to take the final point, the staff team's last attack went out, and the 2 Days & 1 Night team produced a dramatic 10-9 final victory, achieving the best result of dinner for all members.
Triumphant, the five members entered the dinner venue and savored a lavish Cheongdo Hanjae water parsley spread as they enjoyed their victory. Above all, the members attracted attention by recreating on 2 Days & 1 Night, after 18 years, the viral online clip from season 1 of Kang Ho-dong eating spring cabbage bibimbap.
In particular, Moon Seyoon impersonated Kang Ho-dong's famous lines exactly, saying "Wow! The cabbage tastes better than the meat~" and "Is it really that tasty~" to provoke laughter. Not only Moon Seyoon but the members praised the seasonal spring cabbage bibimbap, completing the 2026 version of the "spring cabbage bibimbap mukbang."
The five members finished a more satisfying dinner than ever by also enjoying the ice dried persimmon dessert prepared by the production team. Among them, Kim Jongmin, who had chosen the dessert bowl with a four-leaf clover attached, enjoyed the luck of being confirmed for indoor sleeping early regardless of the bed luck result.
Afterward, a bed luck mission called "the road to indoor sleeping," which would select two additional indoor sleepers, was held. While Kim Jongmin, who was the seeker in the game, shouted "Mugunghwa kkotchi pieosseumnida" (the hibiscus flower has bloomed), the two members who first passed all five courses could avoid outdoor sleeping.
Lee Jun, who had taken the lead from the start, passed the five courses first and was confirmed for indoor sleeping, while DinDin and Yoo Seonho engaged in a fierce contest for the remaining spot. Meanwhile, Moon Seyoon repeatedly failed to pass courses 3 and 4 and seemed to be eliminated from the competition.
However, Moon Seyoon, who had consistently slept outdoors for the past three months, did not give up and burned with determination for indoor sleeping, and taking advantage of DinDin and Yoo Seonho's quarrel and stalemate, he managed to catch up with the two. Just before the game ended, Moon Seyoon displayed monstrous strength like a creature in a horror film, pulling Yoo Seonho and DinDin out one after another and becoming the final winner of the bed luck game.
After a grueling day, as everyone went to bed, the two who had lost the "time capsule Race," Kim Jongmin and Lee Jun, woke early at 6 a.m. to carry out the dawn labor punishment.
