On the 23rd broadcast of KBS CoolFM Park Myung Soo's Radio Show, Park Myung Soo referred to "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG," which was held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on the 21st.
Park Myung Soo joked about the scale of the performance, saying, "It's embarrassing to compare," and added, "Our 'Radio Show' also held public broadcasts in Gwanghwamun twice, and we did them between Admiral Yi Sun-sin and King Sejong the Great." At the same time, Park Myung Soo expressed a measure of pride, saying, "We had about 1,000 to 2,000 people, but many came even without national promotion."
Above all, he lavished praise on the BTS performance. He said, "BTS's Suga and Jin have a connection with me," and emphasized, "It is meaningless to judge whether the Gwanghwamun performance was a success or not. Earlier, on the 20th broadcast, Park Myung Soo had described the on-site atmosphere, saying, "When you go to Gwanghwamun, there are so many foreigners that it feels like there are more foreigners than locals," and he also urged, "Safety is important as large crowds gather. Please enjoy it while keeping order."
Regarding his separate personal friendship with member Jin, he said, "I didn't contact him separately because I was worried it might be a burden," and conveyed a message of support, saying, "I hope the performance concludes well."
Meanwhile, this "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" was broadcast live worldwide through Netflix and ranked No. 1 in 77 countries. It was reported that about 100,000 people gathered at the site, once again proving their global influence.<
