"After School Teacher Taeri" chef Anh Sung-jae transformed into a special cafeteria chef for elementary school i-dle.
On the 22nd, the tvN "After School Teacher Taeri" aired an ultra-special event that made Yongheung Elementary School's sports day even more special.
Early in the morning, Anh Sung-jae visited the mushroom house, the teachers' lodging. In an interview, Anh Sung-jae said, "I came because I wanted to make delicious food for Yongheung Elementary's sports day," explaining the meaning of this visit.
At the lodging, Kim Taeri, Choi Hyun-wook and Kangnam warmly welcomed Anh Sung-jae, cheering his arrival. In particular, Kangnam asked when he was leaving, and when Anh Sung-jae replied, "I'm going later in the evening," he showed deep regret, telling him to stay the night.
Only 2 hours and 30 minutes remained until distribution. After tasting apples as the welcome food, Anh Sung-jae exclaimed, "Wow. The sweetness is really high," unable to hide his admiration, and began preparing to cook in earnest.
That day a new nickname for Anh Sung-jae was born. Kim Taeri mentioned "polar bear" as someone he resembles, and Kangnam suggested "quokka." But Anh Sung-jae himself mentioned "beluga whale," which many people say he resembles, and his final nickname was settled as "whale."
The menu Anh Sung-jae prepared for the i-dle was truly monumental. It was a full course starting with tomato rosé pasta, followed by ham sweet and sour with persimmon sauce, the main dish of premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo tenderloin steak, and dessert chocolate pudding.
While Anh Sung-jae cooked with all his heart, he showed a nervous look, unlike his usual charismatic appearance, saying, "I don't know if the i-dle will like it."
