'Doctor Shin' again featured the ghost character that has become writer Im Sung-han's trademark.
On the night of the 22nd, the fourth episode of TV CHOSUN's weekend drama 'Doctor Shin' depicted mother Hyun Ran-hee (Song Ji In) transferring her brain into her daughter Momo (Baek Seora).
That night Hyun Ran-hee's body ultimately met death. Previously, Momo had lost consciousness and her brain was damaged just before her wedding. To save her daughter's body, Hyun Ran-hee swapped her brain with Momo's. As a result, Momo's body housed Hyun Ran-hee's brain, and Hyun Ran-hee's body housed Momo's brain, resulting in a strange mother-daughter coexistence.
Shin Joo-shin (Jeong E-chan), who performed the surgery to save his fiancée Momo, was shocked after the operation when he saw that the awakened Momo's body was no longer the same as before. He increasingly felt a distance. Shin Joo-shin even began to overlay Hyun Ran-hee's spirit onto Momo's body. At times, the dead Hyun Ran-hee's body looked more like Momo.
Meanwhile, Hyun Ran-hee gradually revealed her desires. Looking at the prospective son-in-law Shin Joo-shin, she thought, "How can his forehead be so broad?", "He looks aristocratic," and she also said, "Although what's visible isn't everything, you can accept what you see. The one who died is Hyun Ran-hee."
The more that happened, the more Shin Joo-shin felt alienation watching Momo speak in Hyun Ran-hee's mannerisms. Hyun Ran-hee even seemed to give subtle seduction, telling Shin Joo-shin, "Loosen your tie and go," while touching the tie and pulling his face, which created shock.
In the process, although Hyun Ran-hee died, her spirit overlapped with Momo's body and appeared as a ghost. The ghost that had appeared in Im Sung-han's previous works showed up once again. The unpredictable development stimulated both shock and curiosity. <
