Band Daybreak revealed their prowess as "performance craftsmen" with a primal band sound.
Daybreak (Lee Won-seok, Kim Seon-il, Kim Jang-won, Jeong Yoo-jong) successfully held the small-venue live show ONE NIGHT LIVE : ONL Vol.1 (hereinafter "ONL") at Hyundai Card Understage in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 20th.
"ONL" is Daybreak's new small-venue live series planned for just one day to breathe more densely with fans. It delivers a different energy from Daybreak's signature show "SUMMER MADNESS," which has continued for more than 10 years, and has received favorable reviews.
That day, Daybreak opened the show with "Two Hearts" and "Love me," then showcased a different charm with songs that shift between refreshing and emotional, such as "Why not?", "Doll's Dream", and "Tap Dance." In addition, themed stages centered on colors — "Bluely", "R.E.D", "Litmus" — were presented, while a playful, unusual amusement-park–themed setlist including "Carousel", "Mono Train", and "Bumper Car" added listening enjoyment.
In particular, Daybreak pre-released the chorus of the digital single "drip_DA (Deulipda)" scheduled for release on the 27th, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans. Riding that momentum, Daybreak continued to perform mega hits such as "I'll make you walk only on flowery roads" and "Good," leading sing-alongs and raising immersion to its peak.
Here, Go Young-bae of the band Soran made a surprise appearance as a guest and created a unique musical synergy with Daybreak by performing "I Put It Up and Down" and "Autumn Neck."
In this way, Daybreak broke away from a seated listening style and, based on a primal band sound that makes you feel the rhythm with your whole body and jump together, put together a dense setlist to showcase their "performance craftsmen" side, turning an ordinary day for fans into a special "today."
After the show, Daybreak said, "We hope today remains a slightly more special 'today.' We are always thankful for being with us. We hope this time today remains in your memories forever," and added, "Please give lots of interest to 'drip_DA,' which will be released on the 27th; it will be more than you imagine. We hope you come to ONL Vol.2 with lots of excitement, and we will show you a better stage than today."
Meanwhile, Daybreak will release the digital single "drip_DA" through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 27th.
