The group SEVENTEEN (S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino)'s world tour has drawn about 840,000 spectators (combined online·offline) so far, PLEDIS Entertainment Co. said on the 23rd.
SEVENTEEN on the 21st successfully concluded 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN ASIA' at Bulacan Philippine Sports Stadium. As it was the final date of a tour that ran 29 shows across 14 cities worldwide since last September, the crowd's cheers reached a peak. The entire venue trembled whenever the members moved, and a large banner reading '세븐틴 오래오래 함께 하자' in Korean fluttered in the seating area.
Fitting the tour title that hinted at a new challenge, SEVENTEEN showcased a variety of charms and skills by performing the title track 'THUNDER' from their fifth full-length album as well as solo stages from the same album. Added to this were instrument performances by DK, Seungkwan, and Vernon, SEVENTEEN's signature encore 'very NICE' and other dazzling performances and abundant sights, once again proving their reputation as 'performance craftsmen.'
The members said, "The show was so fun we didn't want to go home. We thank CARAT (the fandom) for always supporting us from afar," and added, "Being with you gives us the energy to keep going for a long time. We'll continue to come back with various activities such as solo and unit projects, so please keep giving us lots of love." S.COUPS added, "Next time the 13 of us will return together, so we hope you'll fill the venue like this then as well," eliciting explosive cheers from fans.
SEVENTEEN now only has the encore concert left. On Apr. 4-5 they will hold 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium to wrap up the seven-month world tour. Encore concert tickets sold out on the day fan club membership pre-sale opened. The world tour continued through large venues such as Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium, Los Angeles BMO Stadium, the four major domes in Japan, and Singapore National Stadium, demonstrating their high global popularity.
