Singer and actress Kim Se-jeong is putting an end to her 10-year partnership with Jellyfish Entertainment Co.
On the 23rd, agency Jellyfish Entertainment Co. said in an official statement, "After careful discussions, the company and Kim Se-jeong have agreed to conclude the journey they shared over the past 10 years and terminate the exclusive contract."
It added, "The time we walked together, based on deep trust and affection for one another, was a precious moment that could not be exchanged for anything," and "We will cherish for a long time the passion and effort Kim Se-jeong showed and all the memories created with the fans."
Jellyfish said, "We express deep gratitude to Kim Se-jeong for being with Jellyfish for a long time, and we sincerely support the new journey that will unfold," adding, "We ask for your continued unwavering love and support for Kim Se-jeong."
Meanwhile, Kim Se-jeong appeared on Mnet audition program "Produce 101" in 2016 and debuted as a member of the group I.O.I. She later re-debuted with the group Gugudan and was active with them until 2020, and she is currently pursuing both acting and solo singing activities.
