Actor Kim Byeong Sae said he and his wife, who is 15 years younger, gave up having a second child.
On the 22nd broadcast of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, the daily life of Kim Byeong Sae, who succeeded in marrying for the first time at 58, was depicted. The broadcast showed actors Kim Seung-soo and Lim Won-hee visiting the couple's home.
Kim Byeong Sae said, "I was born in 1962, my wife was born in 1977," revealing the 15-year age difference himself and surprising viewers. Upon hearing this, Lim Won-hee reacted cheerfully, saying, "Your wife looks younger."
His wife is reported to be a businesswoman currently running a jewelry shop, active between the United States and Korea. Kim Byeong Sae explained, "My wife's company also has operations in Korea, so she came in for management." In particular, viewers admired the revelation that the couple's home in Los Angeles, U.S., is a large mansion of about 300 pyeong.
Above all, Kim Byeong Sae revealed his deep trust in his wife, saying, "All the household's financial authority belongs to my wife." After marriage, his noticeably softer demeanor showed him to be a devoted husband, drawing attention.
Especially, the two also shared the story of having tried for a long time to have a second child. Kim Byeong Sae recalled the desperate time, saying, "Because of in vitro fertilization procedures, there was a time I stayed in Korea for about six months." His wife calmly said, "We tried for about four to five years, but we've decided not to anymore," evoking sympathy.
