'Sallim-nam 2' singer Hwanhee was revealed to have been frail at birth.
On the 21st episode of KBS2TV variety show 'Sallim-nam 2', singer Park Seojin and Park Hyojung siblings and Baek Z Young met, and singer Hwanhee's family story was revealed.
Baek Z Young met Park Seojin for the first time in a while after leaving 'Sallim-nam 2'. She appeared as a guest at Park Seojin's performance. Baek Z Young said, "I had to leave 'Sallim-nam 2' because of my performance schedule, so I was disappointed. I wanted to at least go to any afterparty, but I couldn't. I think Seojin invited me like this instead," and greeted the audience.
Park Seojin prepared a traditional folk painting she painted herself, a handwritten letter and a bouquet for Baek Z Young, who had taken care of her for a long time.
"I've always wanted to express my gratitude to nuna, and I think this is the chance, so I'm writing this letter before it's too late. For more than a year, thanks to nuna's big and warm reactions, I was able to film Sallim-nam comfortably. You responded sincerely, and I only thought I wanted to emulate you as a pro, but looking back over time, I realized it was not simply professional reaction but support for me. When I was so exhausted I couldn't sleep, I met nuna," the handwritten letter was enough to move Baek Z Young to tears.
Baek Z Young said, "Seojin, I hope your heart doesn't get hurt. People like that don't decrease. But you don't know that. Hyojung, never be hurt. Think you won't get hurt in such places. That way you will never be hurt someday," and she cherished the now-famous siblings Park Seojin and Park Hyojung like her own younger siblings and gave them advice.
Eun Ji-won said, "Baek Z Young would know well," as if to show he could tell how sincere Baek Z Young's words were.
Singer Hwanhee said he is distant with his mother. Saying he was revealing his private life like this for the first time, he said, "There is no conversation with my mother. My mother is taciturn. She came to the last performance of last year's national tour but didn't stop by the waiting room and left. She said she did that because she thought I would be busy."
In fact, his mother said her son had a weak stomach so she couldn't even watch him eat, and because he lived as the head of the household he lived quietly without traveling. Hwanhee's mother said, "I'm ashamed to say it, but I've never been to Jeju Island. I don't even have a passport. We were so poor I never thought about traveling," and revealed that her delight in life was a glass of somac, surprising everyone.
Hwanhee vowed, "I will move into my mother's house and do the things I couldn't do." But his mother firmly refused, saying, "I understand your heart, but that's not possible. It's pitiful that you are playing the role of head of household, and I don't want to make you suffer more." His mother said, "When he was young Hwanhee was sick. I almost lost him. I gave birth a month early," and though people around her said Hwanhee would die, she prayed with gratitude every day and carried him until he was 7, showing that she loved her son deeply while being taciturn and not showing it.
