Nana confessed how her daily life changed after the burglar intrusion, drawing sympathy.
On the 21st, the MBC variety show Omniscient Interfering View aired footage of Nana's home interior and daily life.
On that episode, shots showed self-defense items such as gas pistols placed throughout the house, drawing attention. When cast members mentioned the past incident after seeing this, Nana personally recounted the situation at the time.
Nana recalled the tense moment, saying, "A burglar came in at dawn. I was sleeping, but the dogs were barking so much that my mother woke up and went out. He threatened my mother to get in. There was a physical struggle." She added, "It was so dangerous, but rather than thinking about the danger, the thought of getting my mother out quickly was overwhelmingly strong."
The shock continued afterward. Nana said, "My mother fainted. She was so shocked," and confessed, "Because it was at home, I couldn't rest at all at home, and after that I couldn't go back into the house even once."
This incident led to major changes in her life. Nana said, "I thought it would be good to prepare for possible situations, so I developed a habit of putting things where they are visible," and revealed, "If I have something to give as a gift, I ended up giving self-defense items."
She also expressed gratitude toward her manager. Nana said, "So Hyunjin really took care of my mother. Whenever she went somewhere, Hyunjin always accompanied her, and when I had work, Hyunjin even slept with my mother. I was so grateful. That was possible because they're both women."
After the broadcast, internet users showed sympathy with various reactions, saying, "It's so sad she can't rest even at home," "No wonder she has trauma," "I guess she had no choice but to keep a gas pistol," and "The fact that she tried to save her mother first is heartbreaking."
Meanwhile, Nana experienced an incident in November last year in which she was threatened by a man in his 30s who broke into her home. At the time, the man committed the crime while demanding money, and a clash occurred during the subduing process. Afterwards, the police ruled Nana's actions to be self-defense and decided not to indict. However, the perpetrator alleged attempted murder and other charges and filed a complaint against Nana, and Nana's side responded by filing a counterclaim for false accusation.<
