Group BTS staged a spectacle by occupying 14 spots on Spotify's global chart.
On the 21st, according to Spotify, BTS's fifth studio album "Arirang" (ARIRANG) was named the most-streamed K-pop album in history. It also became the most played album in a single day this year, proving its powerful publicity.
It also showed its presence on Spotify's "Daily Top Songs Global." The title track "SWIM" jumped to No. 1 on the chart dated the 20th, and all tracks from the album ranked from 1st to 14th. "Arirang" is sweeping domestic album and music charts. The title track "SWIM" reached No. 1 on Melon's daily chart dated the 20th, and on the real-time "Top 100" chart it held the top spot from 8 a.m. on the 21st until 1 p.m. on the 22nd. The album's performance is also notable. On its first day, it surpassed 3.98 million copies in sales according to Hanteo chart aggregation, instantly surpassing the group's previous highest first-week sales. It also held No. 1 on Hanteo's daily chart for two consecutive days (March 20–21).
"Arirang" is an album that contains BTS's identity and the universal emotions they faced. Bang Si-hyuk participated as executive producer, and the members' sincere emotions are reflected in it.
