Michelin three-star chef Anh Sung-jae takes on elementary school meals.
On the show airing today (22), the tvN entertainment program 'After-school Teacher Taeri' episode 5 will feature a super special event that will make Yongheung Elementary School's sports day even more special. Anh Sung-jae will prepare healthy and delicious school meals for all students.
Anh Sung-jae was formerly the executive chef of Mosu, the only Michelin three-star restaurant in Korea, and attracted attention. After closing temporarily and reopening, Mosu immediately earned two Michelin stars, drawing attention again. In particular, Anh Sung-jae gained fame as a judge on the Netflix original show Culinary Class Wars and has become popular with a more public-facing approach, such as running a personal YouTube channel in addition to operating his restaurant.
Among them, chef Anh Sung-jae, who has a Michelin "star," took charge of the school meals for 'After-school Teacher Taeri.' Considering the children's tastes and offering a different gourmet experience, Anh Sung-jae plans a diverse school meal menu from main dishes to desserts. Using both the teachers' lodging kitchen and the yard's oven, Kim Taeri and Choi Hyun-wook, with Kangnam helping as cooking assistants, will do their best to help from preparing ingredients to cooking.
Especially before mass cooking, while making test versions of each menu, the cooking assistants who tasted Anh Sung-jae's food burst into sincere reactions. Kim Taeri, surprised, said, "The kids will love it so much," and Kangnam praised the taste as a different class, saying, "It's 30,000 won in Cheongdam-dong," raising expectations for Anh Sung-jae's school meals.
Also on this episode, novice teachers and the after-school drama club kids go apple picking. The children, meeting music director Code Kunst for the first time, welcomed him, saying, "A celebrity has finally come," and they even knew the programs he had appeared on, bringing a pleased smile.
