Executive director Kim Song-gi said, "I spent seven months searching for Gyeongju ingredients and embedding stories," raising expectations for the banquet spread.
Starting with colorful appetizers, through braised short ribs, soft tofu stew, gondalbi bibimbap, and ice cream capturing Gyeongju's thousand-year smile, Park Myung Soo opens his eyes wide and says, "It's an honor." Park Myung Soo exclaims in a single bite, "amazing increble unbelievable," even twisting his tongue and drawing laughs. The banquet that excited Park Myung Soo is reported to have received a warm response with leaders from 20 countries clearing their plates.
Meanwhile, Park Myung Soo draws laughter by worrying about G-Dragon's empty stomach after G-Dragon performed a special show at the Gyeongju APEC summit. Park Myung Soo said, "GD is my younger brother," then asked, "Did GD eat that day?" putting Executive Director Kim Song-gi in an awkward position. But Executive Director Kim Song-gi, pretending not to be flustered, answered politely, "G-Dragon did not register as an attendee, so he was unable to eat."
Then, playing a prank, Park Myung Soo added in a serious voice, "GD must have gone home on an empty stomach," and added, "If it were me, I would have asked for a full table," drawing laughter. Eventually Park Myung Soo said, "GD only sang and went home on an empty stomach. I hope the government checks this," even making an official request to the government, which provoked bursts of laughter.
The Korean-course banquet at the Gyeongju APEC summit that Executive Director Kim Song-gi wanted GD to taste and Park Myung Soo's unabashed love for GD can be seen in the broadcast of 'Sadanggwi.'
