Virtual girl group OWIS, produced by Lee Hae-in, has only one day left before taking its first step into the music industry.
OWIS (Serin·Haru·Summer·Soi·Yuni) will release their first mini album "MUSEUM" at 6 p.m. on the 23rd on various online music sites and begin full-scale activities.
We looked at the key points of anticipation for OWIS that you shouldn't miss ahead of their official debut.
#"From school uniform to the stage" a world view that induces over-immersion
OWIS showed a different approach from the start when they suddenly unveiled their debut trailer at the 40th Golden Disc Awards last January. After revealing detailed profiles such as the members' ages and MBTI on their official social media, they even presented picture diaries written by the members themselves, bringing them closer to fans.
When the members' visuals were first revealed in webtoon format, they received explosive praise online. In addition, the three concept photos showing changes into school uniforms, practice outfits and stage costumes depict their growth process like a single story, increasing anticipation for the debut.
#Contains eight tracks like a full-length album...abilities that capture both visuals and musicality
Despite being a mini album, this debut album contains a total of eight tracks, boasting a richness comparable to a full-length album. Members Serin, Summer and Soi participated directly in writing lyrics and composing, revealing solid musical capabilities. After the highlight medley was released, word of mouth about the different moods of each song and the members' attractive vocal colors spread quickly.
They did not neglect visual enjoyment as well as the music. OWIS collaborated with a total of six artists, including Rigend Film, to present visual films tailored to the mood of each track. Going forward, OWIS is expected to captivate fans' eyes and ears at the same time with content that blends stylish visuals and music.
#"The museum is alive!" the "Gamdasal" promotion that made fans visitors
Fresh content planning aligned with the album title MUSEUM also draws attention. From poster tickets in the form of museum tickets to leaflet-shaped schedulers and audio guides in which members dressed as docents introduce the songs themselves, the offerings are diverse. In particular, the tracklist display method that used SNS arrangements to hang each song as if framed invited global fans to the museum called OWIS as visitors and provided a special experience.
This enthusiasm continues offline as well. OWIS will hold a three-concept large pop-up relay at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido from the 17th through April 5. This pop-up store, which continues from before the debut through the activity period, will raise debut excitement by offering diverse attractions such as media exhibitions that capture the members' sensibilities and MD that target fans' tastes.
