TV CHOSUN 'Doctor Shin' has failed to break out of the 1% ratings range for three consecutive episodes.
TV CHOSUN 'Doctor Shin' delivered an unprecedented shock with Baek Seora and Song Ji In, whose brains were switched, presenting a 'cruel fate death ending' in which the daughter's brain inside her body led her own body to death.
In the third episode of TV CHOSUN's weekend miniseries 'Doctor Shin,' which aired on the night of the 21st (Sat) at 10:30 p.m. (written by Phoebe (Im Seong-han)/directed by Lee Seung-hoon/produced by T.M.I Group, Scene & Studio), Hyun Ran-hee (played by Song Ji In) who entered Momo's (played by Baek Seora) body after the brain-change surgery is shown engulfed in a precarious sense of foreboding.
Awakening in the recovery room, Momo asked Shin Ju-shin (played by Jeong I-chan) in a trembling voice, "Tell me. Name?" and requested a mirror, and Hyun Ran-hee, who was in Momo's body, reached out her hand saying, "It's enough that it succeeded. You did well." But Shin Ju-shin, confused by the sight of Momo who looked exactly like Momo on the outside but spoke in Hyun Ran-hee's manner, choked up in tears. In contrast, Hyun Ran-hee, whose brain was switched into Momo, had regained consciousness but spoke haltingly and even had difficulty walking, and Momo (with Hyun Ran-hee's brain) felt conflicted about her own appearance. Meanwhile, Geum Ba-ra (played by Joo Se-bin), suspicious about Momo's seven-month-long seclusion, discovered during her investigation that Ha Yong-jung (played by An Woo Yeon) had special feelings for Momo. And when Geum Ba-ra, drinking alone with Ha Yong-jung, heard Ha Yong-jung say he would take responsibility if Shin Ju-shin gave up on Momo, she stormed off in frustration.
After returning to Korea and visiting Momo's house, Shin Ju-shin was bewildered seeing Momo still using Hyun Ran-hee's manner of speaking, and Momo (with Hyun Ran-hee's brain) told Shin Ju-shin with inscrutable words, "Don't think about this and that. I'll wrap things up so there won't be a problem," adding, "Confusing, right? When I look in the mirror, I don't know if I'm seeing Momo or if Momo is looking at me." Ultimately Shin Ju-shin left, recalling the times he loved Momo and conflicted, 'How can I live without seeing Momo?'
Meanwhile, Shin Ju-shin asked Geum Ba-ra, who had come to the hospital, whether she had been investigating Momo. Geum Ba-ra worried about the unreachable Momo, but Shin Ju-shin lied, "She's abroad. I told her to rest a bit," then admonished Geum Ba-ra, a former resident of the Nua Foundation orphanage, saying, "You know my father was very proud of you." However, toward the end of Geum Ba-ra and Shin Ju-shin's meeting, news of Momo and Shin Ju-shin's engagement broke, and Geum Ba-ra, scolded at work, turned her conversation with Shin Ju-shin into an exclusive interview article. When Shin Ju-shin angrily asked, "Are you repaying kindness with enmity?"
