RM, who finished the 'BTS comeback live' performance in Gwanghwamun, expressed his gratitude.
On the 21st, RM posted a long message on the fan communication platform Weverse saying, "I would like to thank everyone who joined the Gwanghwamun performance."
That day BTS held 'BTS comeback live: ARIRANG' at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. As it was the group's first full-group comeback stage in 3 years and 9 months, both the on-site and online audiences showed intense interest even before the performance. The seating at Gwanghwamun Square was 22,000, while 40,000 spectators gathered, and about 15,000 police, firefighters and public officials were deployed to Gwanghwamun Square for security and safety.
In particular, RM suffered an ankle injury and took part in some choreography and other performances in a limited way, showing 'injury fighting spirit.'
RM, on behalf of BTS, wrote after the performance, "After a long wait of four years, the seven of us gathered again and faced you in the meaningful space of Gwanghwamun. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who offered endless consideration and support so that our comeback stage could be completed safely."
He continued, "We bow our heads in gratitude to the police, firefighters, government and local government officials who embraced Gwanghwamun Square as our comeback stage and worked to ensure a safe performance without major accidents amid the large crowds. We sincerely apologize to and thank the citizens who endured the various inconveniences such as traffic control and noise, and the merchants and office workers in the Gwanghwamun area. We will never take for granted that warm consideration that embraced our performance and will keep it deep in our hearts for a long time," he said, bowing his head.
RM also thanked ARMY and said, "This Gwanghwamun stage is not only for the seven members of BTS. It was a stage completed by the hard work of those who took responsibility for safety, the warm understanding of the citizens, and ARMY's unwavering love," and added, "We will not forget this great love and support you gave us, and in BTS's journey ahead we will create greater resonance and good music."
Meanwhile, after finishing the large-scale comeback show in Gwanghwamun, BTS will meet fans with concerts titled 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex for three days on the 9th, 11th and 12th of next month. Starting with this, BTS will continue a large-scale world tour with a total of 79 shows in 34 cities across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, marking the most shows by a K-pop artist.
