Actor Lee Na-young revealed the recent situation of her husband Won Bin and their 12-year-old son, sparking increased interest in the top star family.
Lee Na-young recently held an interview with domestic reporters to commemorate the conclusion of the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Their Court (abbreviated Honor)'. 'Honor' was Lee Na-young's new drama, marking her first appearance in three years since the 2023 Wavve drama 'Park Ha-kyung travelogue'. Naturally, questions asking Lee Na-young not only about 'Honor' but also about her recent situation poured in.
In particular, questions about her husband Won Bin and her son's reaction also flooded in. Lee Na-young and Won Bin married in late May 2015. Notably, the secret wedding venue was revealed to be a wheat field in a location in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province, Won Bin's hometown, drawing attention. In December of the same year, Lee Na-young gave birth to a healthy son, and they became parents six months after their wedding.
After 11 years of marriage, what was Won Bin's reaction to Lee Na-young's new drama 'Honor'? Lee Na-young said, "Won Bin kept probing because I wouldn't talk about the later storylines. He would say, 'Is it like this?' but even though he said, 'I know,' he kept watching my expression. I didn't tell him until the end. So I felt the work was going well."
She said the family couldn't even 'watch the original broadcast' together. Lee Na-young, blushing, said, "I felt embarrassed so I told them to watch some episodes together and some later. Isn't it embarrassing to watch together?" and added, "Rather than examining details that closely, we're more like, 'You did something, huh?' in that tone. They keep teasing me. Their way of speaking is always like friends, so when I sing or do something and they hear it, they say, 'Um, well, it's better than I thought.'"
So how did the son watch his mother's work? Lee Na-young firmly said, "It is a work rated for viewers 15 and older, so the child couldn't watch it. He wanted to see it, but I stopped him." In reality, despite having parents who are top actors, "the child doesn't know much about actors yet and finds it fascinating. He only watches cartoons, so when he sees movies or things like that, he can't distinguish them from reality. He doesn't seem to know much about actors. He keeps asking, 'Is it real?'"
Nevertheless, Lee Na-young expressed pride, saying of 'Honor', "I think it remains a work that the child can watch later and learn about society and such." It was a confidence possible for a working mom who continues her acting career without taking long breaks, even intermittently.
