OWIS raised anticipation for their debut to a peak with just a short video.
The virtual girl group OWIS (Owis, Serin·Haru·Summer·Soi·Yuni) released a music video teaser for the title track of their mini album of the same name, MUSEUM, on their official social media on the 20th.
The released video sensibly captured members of OWIS crossing the boundary between reality and dreams in different spaces. In particular, the brief excerpt of the title track that played alternates familiar everyday scenes with dreamlike fantasy spaces, arousing curiosity about the full music video.
The music video was produced by Legend Film, which directed aespa's Armageddon, IVE's HEYA, and ALLDAY PROJECT's FAMOUS. They are a production company already famous among K-pop fans for their distinctive sensibility and visual quality, and they previously handled OWIS's trailer and the title track highlight medley video, drawing attention.
The title track MUSEUM is a midtempo song that adds a wistful sensibility over a calm yet earworm guitar riff. It carries a lyrical message of displaying in a dream world the pieces of lost dreams that everyone treasured in reality, and member Summer participated in writing the lyrics herself.
OWIS stands for Only When I Sleep, conveying the meaning that they can be met only in dreams. The debut album includes eight tracks in total, including the title track, and members including Summer, Serin, and Soi all participated in the songwriting, boasting the completeness of a full-length album.
