Chae Jong Hyeop faces Lee Ju-yeon, a figure in the fragmented memories that have been obscured.
On the 21st at 9:50 p.m., in episode 9 of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'In Your Radiant Season' (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, written by Jo Seong-hee, directed by Jeong Sang-hee and Kim Young-jae, produced by Pan Entertainment), Seon Woo-chan (Chae Jong Hyeop) reunites with Cha Su-jin (Lee Ju-yeon), the owner of the 'bracelet sound' that has tormented him, promising an exciting development.
Earlier, Seon Woo-chan, having lost the meaning of life after his mother's death seven years ago, headed to Boston. While continuing his engineering studies out of obligation, he found it hard to get along with anyone and became roommates with Kang Hyuk-chan (Kwon Do Hyoung). At the time, Kang Hyuk-chan was in a long-distance relationship with Song Ha-ran (Lee Sung-kyoung), but their relationship had grown distant as each was consumed by work and studies. Kang Hyuk-chan asked Seon Woo-chan to handle messenger conversations with Ha-ran on his behalf, and Seon Woo-chan, pretending to be Kang Hyuk-chan, began conversing with Song Ha-ran.
In the process, Seon Woo-chan came to understand Song Ha-ran's feelings more closely than anyone else, and he even bought her birthday present in place of Kang Hyuk-chan, deeply entering her life. Even at moments when he contemplated the end of his life, Song Ha-ran's messages pulled Seon Woo-chan back.
However, on the day Song Ha-ran traveled to Boston to meet Kang Hyuk-chan in person, a mysterious explosion occurred and everything was twisted. Kang Hyuk-chan lost his life at the scene, and Seon Woo-chan suffered such severe injuries that he lost his hearing and fell into an unconscious state. After returning from the brink of death, Seon Woo-chan continued living with parts of his memory missing, prompted by Song Ha-ran's voice heard in his unconsciousness.
Seven years later, Seon Woo-chan and Song Ha-ran reunited through a collaboration project. To make her smile again after she shut herself off and lived trapped in the past, Seon Woo-chan suggested a "three-month neighborhood friend trial version," and their relationship slowly began to change. But after the reunion, repeated triggers of the "memory's 1-inch" began occurring for Seon Woo-chan, revealing other pieces of the incident from seven years ago that he had not remembered. In particular, circumstances emerged suggesting that Cha Su-jin was present at the scene when Kang Hyuk-chan died, and a subtle link among the three that continues in the hospital room was detected, bringing the truth of the incident into a new phase.
Seon Woo-chan visited the hospital with Park Man-jae (Kang Sukwoo) and by chance heard the bracelet sound from the "memory's 1-inch" again. Following the sound unconsciously, Seon Woo-chan came face to face with Cha Su-jin after seven years. Cha Su-jin also looked stunned to see Seon Woo-chan, and Seon Woo-chan asks her about the incident that day. The truth Cha Su-jin is hiding, as she looks at him with a meaningful gaze, piques curiosity.
Song Ha-ran, who had planned a date to celebrate Seon Woo-chan's birthday, appears at the meeting place all dressed up, but Seon Woo-chan ultimately does not show up. As anxiety grows because she cannot even reach him, Seon Woo-chan collapses after repeated trigger reactions. The two meet again in the emergency room. Song Ha-ran looks at Seon Woo-chan with worried eyes, and Seon Woo-chan decides to reveal the story he has been hiding. Attention is focused on whether he can unravel the truth tied to the "memory's 1-inch."
Meanwhile, Song Ha-dam (Oh Yeju), facing the college entrance exam day, visits the hospital early in the morning to see Cha Yu-gyeom (Kim Tae-young), whom she was supposed to meet after the test. There, she learns a fact Cha Yu-gyeom had hidden from her, and struck by the thunderbolt-like news, Song Ha-dam is stunned and bursts into tears. All eyes are on what happened to Yu-gyeom, who is preparing for a Major League test, and whether Ha-dam can safely take the college entrance exam.
