Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant model Yano Shiho revealed the macrobiotic diet as the secret to maintaining a perfect figure comparable to women in their 20s even at the age of 50.
On the 20th episode of KBS2 Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant (hereafter "Fun-Staurant"), newcomer chef Yano Shiho, who eagerly came aiming for victory following her husband Choo Sung Hoon, made an appearance.
Yano Shiho entered the kitchen and began by saying, "I'm going to make macrobi (macrobiotic) rice." To those curious about the unfamiliar name, Yano Shiho added a profound explanation, "Macrobioitc is cooking that follows the laws of the universe," and added, "a diet that perfectly supplies the nutrients the body needs by eating grains, vegetables, proteins and seaweed together."
This diet, which has taken the world by storm in Japan as well as Europe and the United States, is the primary reason Yano Shiho has maintained her figure for years. She emphasized the appeal of macrobiotics, saying, "If you eat well you won't age and you will become healthy."
Regarding her usual cooking philosophy, Yano Shiho, who gave a thumbs-up saying, "simple, quick, tasty and healthy," showed a doting mother's side by making sandwiches every morning for her daughter Sarang and preparing healthy home-cooked meals such as soup curry or pasta for dinner herself.
Regarding Choo Sung Hoon, who was often shown cooking on the broadcast, Yano Shiho said, "He doesn't cook at home at all these days. The last time he cooked was as long as four years ago," widening her eyes and causing uproar on set. She added, "The last time was the seaweed soup he cooked for Sarang's birthday four years ago."
