BTS revealed their feelings ahead of a new release after 3 years and 9 months.
On the 21st, BTS held "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. As it was a full-group comeback stage after 3 years and 9 months, there was intense interest both on site and online even before the performance.
The audience seating arranged at Gwanghwamun Square that day numbered 22,000, and for security and safety approximately 15,000 police, fire, and public officials were deployed to Gwanghwamun Square.
After performing new songs "Aliens" and "FYA," Jin thanked the audience, saying, It's been so long and I'm so excited, but before we went on we said, they're nervous down there, but once they go up they'll be doing MIC Drop. The atmosphere is so good, and you like the new songs so much. I'm getting lifted along with that.
J-Hope said, The atmosphere is so good and I'm so excited. Actually, this album contains a variety of songs. Among them are many of our worries. While preparing this album, we worried a bit about whether we might be forgotten. Or whether you would remember us — that kind of worry was not absent.
Suga also said, During the time we had to stop for a moment, we thought a lot about what needed to change. Because of that, we still can't be certain and feel anxious, but I think those feelings are also ours, and RM added, At this turning point I asked myself a lot what choices to make and what kind of creator I want to remain. The answer was not outside but inside. Listening more closely to my own voice and expressing myself. That seems to have been the goal we wanted to capture in this album.
Jimin said, As you all know very well, we are not special people. Like you, we are afraid every time, and we were afraid even while preparing this stage. But including that feeling, if we Keep swimming I believe we will find the answer someday, and V said, What we can do is keep making music, keep performing, and show ARMY a beautiful image without stopping — I think that is moving forward. I hope our songs can be even a little bit of comfort, and they performed the title track SWIM.
