Comedian Shin Giru (real name Kim Hyun-jung), who had announced news of her mother's death, shared her feelings after the funeral.

Shin Giru, with a heavy heart, said, I didn't know mom would leave so soon so I couldn't say the things I wanted to say to her and I didn't hear the things she wanted to say to me, but I will always convey them in my heart so please listen and watch over me, mom. And all of mom's acquaintances said mom considered me a source of pride, so I felt somewhat relieved. Thank you, mom.
She said, I, who can't even prepare a proper funeral table, held a funeral. So many people expressed their condolences and so many people came to share my sorrow and hug me, so I was able to do it. I haven't done anything for people, and I received overwhelmingly generous comfort to the point where I wondered if this was allowed, and I said, I will never forget, I will surely remember and live with gratitude. She added, It wasn't that I measured myself out of an interest in beauty; there happened to be a scale so I stepped on it and expected I had lost at least 5 kg but I had lost 1.5 kg so I was astonished. I'm still overwhelmed even by those who worry about me, but I'll try to take in food as much as possible without interruption. When I return to daily life and meet people at work, please don't look at me with eyes full of pity and treat me as you usually do with teasing, she said, revealing a cheerful side that made the moment even more touching.
Meanwhile, Shin Giru announced news of her mother's death on the 18th. Shin Giru's mother is reported to have passed away on the evening of the 17th. She was 68 years old. The deceased's mourning room was prepared in VIP Room 1 at Shilnakwon Incheon Funeral Hall, and the funeral procession was held at 6:30 a.m. on the 20th.
