On the 21st, Jang Seongkyu posted on his social account, "Finally, it's today. the BTS concert that will adorn spring day. It's said that nearly 300,000 people can gather; I hope it concludes successfully without any safety accidents!" along with a photo.
The photo included images of BTS. BTS will hold a comeback live at 8 p.m. on the 21st at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno District, Seoul: BTS comeback live: ARIRANG. This performance is meaningful in that it is BTS's first full-group performance in 3 years and 9 months.
For security and safety, about 15,000 police, firefighters and public officials were deployed to Gwanghwamun Square, and as the performance approached, footsteps of the global ARMY (fandom name) as well as citizens kept coming. In response, Jang Seongkyu cheered for a performance without safety accidents.
Meanwhile, BTS released their fifth full-length album, 'Arirang,' at 1 p.m. on the 20th. After the Gwanghwamun performance, BTS will begin a world tour starting at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9, 11 and 12, and will meet fans around the world in 34 cities across 23 countries.
