BTS finished their Gwanghwamun live and the members expressed gratitude and apology.
On the 21st, BTS held "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. As it was the full-group comeback stage after 3 years and 9 months, both the venue and online drew intense interest even before the performance.
The audience seating arranged at Gwanghwamun Square had 22,000 seats, and 40,000 audience members gathered, prompting the deployment of about 15,000 police officers, firefighters and public officials at Gwanghwamun Square for security and safety.
The members in particular did not forget to thank the unsung efforts that made the historic stage possible. Suga, appearing on stage for the first time, said it was an honor to be able to perform at one of Korea's most historic places, and V also said he was deeply moved to be able to make a comeback at such a special place.
After presenting a variety of stages including hits and new songs such as "Butter," "MIC Drop," "Aliens," "FYA," "SWIM," "Like Animals," and "NORMAL," Suga again thanked Seoul and the countless officials who helped make the Gwanghwamun performance possible and said he wanted to be sure to express gratitude to the police officers and many others who worked hard at the scene.
Jimin also said he wanted to convey his thanks to the many people who helped make today's live possible, and bowed his head, saying, "I am grateful and sorry."
After the members delivered their greetings, they successfully concluded the stage by performing the encore song "Mikrokosmos" along with "Dynamite".
