BTS member RM expressed regret that he could not perform the new song choreography because of an ankle injury.
BTS held a live broadcast through the official fan community Weverse on the 20th to celebrate their comeback with their fifth studio album "ARIRANG".
Earlier, agency BigHit Music said RM sustained an ankle injury on the 19th while conducting a performance rehearsal and would participate in the Gwanghwamun comeback live stage with limited involvement in some performances.
Regarding this, RM explained, "We were also preparing a concert together. I worked a bit hard. That day I worked especially hard and suffered an ankle injury. Actually I practiced dancing really hard this time, but it will be difficult to show the performance right away, so I don't think I can participate."
He added, "Still, I will go on stage. Since it's a meeting with you, I will go on stage and try my best with the singing. It's not a very serious injury so please don't worry too much, and I'm taking a lot of care so the prognosis can improve and people are taking good care of me. We all prepared hard together, so I hope you look forward to it a lot."
J-Hope said, "Namjoon worked really hard, but you cannot predict people's circumstances. We were also very taken aback. We wanted to reveal it to you looking great for the first time, but the one more upset than us is probably Namjoon."
RM said, "It happened so suddenly yesterday so I feel sorry to the members. Ankles sometimes get twisted, right? It seems it turned rather forcefully," and the members also regretted, "We needed to see Namjoon's dance; he has really improved a lot."
RM said, "I will manage my recovery as best as possible until the Goyang concert and show you a good appearance."
