In the second episode of tvN's variety show Predictable aired on the 20th, Kim Sook's Jeju house rehabilitation project continued.
That day, after confirming that her Jeju house was included in a nationally designated heritage area, Kim Sook sought consultation with Ji Tae Seung, Jeju's only on-site measurement design technician.
Kim Sook said, "I thought I knew a lot about the house, but Jeju is different," and "You are my hope," but the reply was not encouraging.
After reviewing the documents, Ji Tae Seung said, "This happens often," and explained, "The chances of getting permission are not many. It's very strict." He added, "The possibility is about 10%."
Kim Sook looked flustered and asked, "It's my house, can't I fix it?", and Ji Tae Seung offered a realistic assessment, saying, "Viewed positively, it's a valuable property recognized by the state, but viewed negatively, in the worst case you might not be able to do anything."
When Kim Sook asked, "What should I do first?", Ji Tae Seung said, "We must first examine whether permission to change the appearance can be obtained," and added, "In the worst case, permission may be impossible." When he even mentioned the possibility of selling, Kim Sook lamented, "Who would buy it? It's a jungle now, it's the Amazon."
In particular, attention was drawn when the process of Kim Sook's past purchase was revealed. Kim Sook revealed, "Actually, I bought this house in joint name with Song Eun I," and confessed, "But suddenly she said she wouldn't do it, so now the title is solely in my name."
When Ji Tae Seung said, "You got the short end of the stick," Kim Sook agreed, "That's accurate," and suspected with a laugh, "Song Eun I seems to have known and backed out. It seems she went somewhere to check and then came back."
