Wavve has confirmed production of season 2 of "Love siblings" and said it will premiere as an original exclusive in the second half of this year.
"Love siblings," which first premiered on Mar. 2024, is a family meddling dating reality show in which siblings gather to find partners for one another. With a fresh format that combines family relationships, it offered differentiated fun and deep empathy compared with existing dating shows, receiving strong responses.
In fact, season 1 recorded the longest viewing time among Wavve's first-half original entertainment shows, and firmly held the No. 1 position in driving new paid weekend subscriptions throughout its roughly four-month broadcast period. In particular, the influx of female users in their 20s, the core target of dating reality, was remarkable. In March, the first month the program was released, the number of female users in their 20s on Wavve roughly doubled compared with the previous month, demonstrating notable platform expansion.
It also achieved overwhelming results in external buzz surveys. During the broadcast period, it ranked No. 1 four times in the TV-OTT integrated non-drama buzz institutional sector, and in the finale it set a new personal best buzz score, ending on a high note. Many cast members also made the non-drama cast buzz TOP 20 in the final weeks, proving the public's strong interest in the program overall.
Based on these achievements, returning season 2 will be co-directed by PD Lee Jin-ju, who was the main PD of season 1, and PD Shin Hye-won, who participated in directing season 1. Through season 2, Wavve plans to continue the close relationships and empathy points unique to "Love siblings" while meeting viewers again with unpredictable stories woven by new cast members.
Meanwhile, Wavve is openly recruiting sibling cast members to be the leads of Love siblings season 2 through its official Instagram. Any single siblings who want to find true love can apply, and recommendations of attractive siblings from acquaintances are also accepted in addition to direct applications by the individuals.
