"Perfect Crown" transforms IU into a woman who 'bites when touched'.
On the 19th MBC released a teaser video for Perfect Crown (written by Yoo Ji-won, directed by Park Joon-hwa·Bae Hee-young) featuring Sung Hee-joo (played by IU), a woman who has everything except her social status.
The video contains Sung Hee-joo's shocking marriage plan that will make the whole country buzz. Although she has beauty, Jisung, and ability, Sung Hee-joo, who was always the talk of the town because she is of commoner illegitimate birth, comes up with the brilliant idea of marrying royal family member Grand Prince IAAN (played by Byeon Woo-seok) while searching for a spouse befitting her status.
However, Sung Hee-joo's provocative idea to rise in status by marrying Grand Prince IAAN meets opposition from those around her. DO Hye-jung (played by Lee Yeon), her chief secretary, as well as her close school senior and prime minister Min Jung-woo (played by Noh Sang Hyun) express concern, but Sung Hee-joo instead asks "why not" and fires up her determination.
Because cabinet approval is essential for Grand Prince IAAN's marriage, Sung Hee-joo targets her close school senior and prime minister Min Jung-woo. However, even after Sung Hee-joo asks, "Brother, approve my marriage," Min Jung-woo only wears a stern expression, foreshadowing a difficult journey.
Meanwhile, revealing her ambition by saying, "I want to raise my social status a little," Sung Hee-joo closely watches Grand Prince IAAN's movements and strives to step in time with him. Despite Sung Hee-joo's cute straightforwardness, a small smile slowly blooms on the previously cold face of Grand Prince IAAN, and attention is focused on whether Sung Hee-joo, like a declaration of war saying "Shall I do something crazy too?", will defy everyone's expectations and be able to marry Grand Prince IAAN.
In this way, Perfect Crown, through the Sung Hee-joo teaser video, raises expectations for the bold steps of Sung Hee-joo, CEO of Castle Beauty, who chooses not only a marriage partner but also her own destiny. Therefore, curiosity grows over whether Sung Hee-joo, a woman who bites when touched, will meet Grand Prince IAAN, the man she wants to bite, and succeed in raising her social status as she wishes.
Set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea, Perfect Crown, which tells a story of status-breaking romance about a woman who has everything as a chaebol but is annoyed because her status is commoner and a man who is the king's son but cannot have anything and is sad, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, Apr. 10, at 9:40 p.m.. <
