Global comprehensive content corporation RBW conducted a job mentoring program for youth and an on-site K-pop experience program for overseas university students to broaden understanding of the K-content industry.
RBW successfully operated the second session of the youth communication program "Over the Rainbow culture salon" on the 13th. The program is an opportunity for current practitioners to share job experiences and know-how with job seekers and prospective entertainment industry workers interested in the K-content industry.
Following last month's session on the "new artist development" role, the second session featured a lecture on the "A&R" role. The program drew such strong interest that registrations filled up in one day; practitioners introduced job responsibilities, required competencies, and the process of preparing to enter the industry, and held a question-and-answer session with participants. The program, originally scheduled for one hour, continued for about two hours as participants' questions kept coming. Participants said it was very beneficial to hear directly from a current practitioner and that they received practical advice helpful for the job preparation process.
On the same day, RBW also conducted a global K-pop education program, RBWUS One-day Class, for students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the Philippines. Students visited RBW headquarters to hear an introduction to the corporation and toured key facilities such as the recording studios and choreography practice rooms actually used by artists, experiencing the K-pop production process. The program was conducted with an emphasis on on-site experience, giving participants an opportunity to understand the content production environment and industry structure.
The RBW education content business team said it will continue to expand various K-pop experience programs spanning domestic and international audiences and projects that help young people with career paths and employment, adding that it will practice corporate social responsibility and grow together with the industry.
Meanwhile, information about programs operated by the RBW education content business team can be found on the official Naver cafe and Instagram RBW EDU CAMPUS.
