New group MODYSSEY (Modyssey) will make its official debut on April 13, heralding the arrival of a new "global rookie" in the K-pop market.
MODYSSEY (Modyssey, Hengyu, Pan Zeyi, Lizhao, Linlin, Surun, Yichen, ROWAN) on the 19th revealed their debut date and album title via official SNS and began the full debut countdown.
MODYSSEY is a seven-member global boy group made up of Hengyu, Pan Zeyi, Lizhao, Linlin, Surun, Yichen and ROWAN who became the debut lineup through a journey that began on last year's Mnet survival program "Boys 2 Planet" and continued with "Planet C: Home Race." The team name MODYSSEY is a blend of Music, Move, Momentum and odyssey, symbolizing the journey of seven members from different backgrounds moving toward a single direction.
In particular, leading domestic and international corporations are pooling their resources to provide full support for MODYSSEY's activities. CJ ENM launched a joint venture called "OneSeed" in cooperation with JYP China and NCC Entertainment, established by Tencent Music Entertainment (TME), China's largest music platform, to expand its global artist business. OneSeed will be based in the Chinese-speaking market and will actively pursue artist business targeting the global market, overseeing MODYSSEY's overall activities. With globally influential corporations collaborating to actively support their growth and leap, attention is focused on their future moves.
MODYSSEY will release its debut single "1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony(1. 갓 ?l드: 언 어딕티브 심포니)" on April 13. The album captures the team's vibrancy, instinctive appeal and raw, honest energy, and the title track is especially notable for featuring 3RACHA, the producing team of JYP-signed Stray Kids, raising expectations.
Various activities were announced to coincide with the debut. First, the real variety show "SAY SAY MODYSSEY," which documents the growth of MODYSSEY members, will premiere on Mnet on the 20th. The program is a project content that shows not only MODYSSEY's potential as hidden variety stars and their idol capabilities but also the members' chemistry and individual characters. It will feature the members' chaotic challenges as they grow into global idols and showcase a variety of charms.
A global stage push was also announced early. MODYSSEY confirmed an appearance at "KCON JAPAN 2026," to be held May 8–10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, marking the start of their full-fledged global activities alongside various broadcast activities.
Meanwhile, MODYSSEY will begin full activities starting with the release of their debut single on April 13, expanding the interest and fandom formed on the survival program into music and performances.
