Comedian Kim Won-hoon and Um Ji-yoon agreed to become spouses after a 15-year long-term relationship, and it was revealed that this is the conclusion of the popular YouTube channel Shortbox's "long-term relationship" project.
On the 18th, Kim Won-hoon posted on his social account, "Hello. Won-hoon, Ji-yoon. From lovers to spouses, continuing our precious love for 15 years and bearing its fruit, we will start a new beginning on Apr. 1, 2026," and showed the wedding invitation photographed with Um Ji-yoon.
Announcing the wedding with the phrase "On a day when the spring breeze seeps in, we are getting married," Kim Won-hoon and Um Ji-yoon noted "the first day of April, 4 p.m., a wedding hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul" to give the date, time and location.
Kim Won-hoon said, "We would like to personally deliver invitations to cherished people and share this joy together, but we cautiously share the news out of concern that contact after a long time may be burdensome," and added, "If you bless our wedding with your presence to witness our union and encourage us, we will cherish it as the greatest joy."
However, Kim Won-hoon said, "We spent a lot of the budget on our honeymoon, so we could only guarantee meals for 150 people. Please understand that we cannot invite many guests."
The public could only be bewildered by Kim Won-hoon and Um Ji-yoon's sudden marriage announcement because Kim Won-hoon married a non-celebrity he had dated for eight years in 2022.
