Group The Boyz's nine members requested termination of their exclusive contracts, saying they did not receive settlement payments from their agency, One Hundred, while One Hundred said it is difficult to accept the termination request, claiming it paid a large signing bonus.
On the 19th, The Boyz's Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo and Eric issued a statement through the law firm YulChon and said they had notified their agency One Hundred of the termination of their exclusive contracts.
According to YulChon's statement, The Boyz's nine members claimed, "We notified the termination of the exclusive contracts on Feb. 10, 2026, due to the agency's serious, serious breaches of the exclusive contracts and the irreparable damage to the trust relationship caused by them, and accordingly the exclusive contracts were lawfully terminated and their effect ended."
In particular, the members said, "Since the settlement payment for the second quarter of 2025, the agency has not paid the artists normal settlement payments for any activities from July 2025 onward. In addition, even though the artists repeatedly requested to review basic documents such as the contracts to confirm the transparency of the settlements, the agency refused without justifiable reason, abandoning the management company's basic and essential duties under the exclusive contracts."
They went on to say, "Recent media reports revealed circumstances in which the agency received advance payments on the order of hundreds of billions of won based on the artists' entertainment activities. Nevertheless, the agency has not offered any responsible explanation or satisfactory account for the current situation in which settlement payments are not being made to the artists."
The nine members added, "The artists quietly continued activities for a long time to keep promises to fans despite prolonged uncertainty. However, the agency not only failed to properly support the various costs essential to the artists' entertainment activities but practically neglected normal management duties, even delaying payment of costs for staff who work on site for months."
Still, The Boyz said they plan to hold their solo concert scheduled for April so that third parties are not harmed. They also said that, unlike the other members, New will maintain his exclusive contract. The nine members said, "The artists respect each member's individual choices and positions, and The Boyz will explore various options going forward and cooperate as necessary to find the best path for the team and fans."
However, the agency One Hundred said it cannot accept this. On the same day the agency also said in an official statement, "We signed contracts paying large exclusive contract signing bonuses per member on the premise that all 11 members of The Boyz would adhere to the contract period and act as one team. However, last year several controversies involving members destroyed that premise, and as a result a member even left the team, making normal team activities difficult."
One Hundred emphasized, "Nevertheless, we persuaded related parties that suffered losses and worked to maintain group activities while accepting large deficits. We cannot accept The Boyz members' request to terminate exclusive contracts, which ignores these circumstances."
