Problem Child in House actor turned painter Park Shin-yang addressed the "ghostwriting allegations" that have followed him for 13 years.
On the afternoon of the 19th, Park Shin-yang, who is active as an actor and painter, appeared on KBS2 Problem Child in House.
Park Shin-yang said about the number of works he has produced over the past 13 years, "About 200. The size is about twice that of the door you see now," revealing an enormous volume of work and massive scale that surprised everyone. In particular, Park Shin-yang said, "There were times I painted for 10 years to complete one work," revealing an artistic obsession to continuously correct and repaint for the long period of 10 years to achieve perfection.
However, Park Shin-yang, who has been quietly devoted to his work for 13 years, said even people who visited his studio directly raised ghostwriting suspicions, asking, "Is this really painted by him?"
Regarding this, Park Shin-yang honestly said, "Hearing that for 13 years made me very angry at first," but also noted that he sublimated it in an artistlike way. Park Shin-yang explained the background of planning a shocking exhibition that shows the actual work process as a performance, saying, "I thought this had become my job. So I decided to turn the process itself into a play."
