'Bloodhounds 2' promises intense chemistry among actors Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi and Jung Jihoon.
On the 19th, the Netflix series Bloodhounds 2 released its main poster and main trailer.
Bloodhounds 2, which tells the story of Geonwoo (Woo Do Hwan) and WOOJIN (Lee Sang Yi), who beat up a ruthless gang of illegal loan sharks, delivering another satisfying straight hook against a global illegal boxing league ruled by money and violence, has released a main poster and trailer featuring thrilling action and upgraded impact.
As the veil is lifted, anticipation for Bloodhounds 2 rises, and the image of Geonwoo, WOOJIN and Baekjeong (Jung Jihoon) fiercely facing off in the newly released main poster raises the heart rate. The fists that land relentlessly fast suggest upgraded impact and speed, promising the trademark bare-knuckle action unique to Bloodhounds returning with more power. In addition, the phrase "an illegal gambling ring betting billions, we will bite until the end" foreshadows an unavoidable blood battle on an even larger stage, increasing the tension.
The newly released main trailer hints at a new threat facing Geonwoo and WOOJIN. Baekjeong, the operator who dominates the global illegal boxing league known as IKFC. Every time his cruel fist descends, the betting money soars, but Baekjeong's greed does not stop. Seeking to expand the league by raising its stakes through Geonwoo, who rose as a boxing star to the champion's seat, Baekjeong offers Geonwoo a dangerous proposal: "I'll give you 10 billion won. Just one match with me." The moment Geonwoo rejects the offer, Baekjeong's sharp blade turns toward Geonwoo and WOOJIN. Unable to lose any more loved ones, Geonwoo says, "This time, the two of us will do our best," and decides to fight for their lives once more alongside WOOJIN.
But Baekjeong's threat targeting Geonwoo's life is fiercer than ever. With the leash of Inbeom (Tae Won Seok), who threatened the two three years ago, falling into Baekjeong's hands, the outcome of the rounds hurtles into an unpredictable phase. Geonwoo and WOOJIN, who steel themselves by saying, "To catch a beast, you must become scarier than the beast," resolve to fight on despite running breathlessly and attacking against a threat that does not subside. In the struggle of people who have reunited to restore peace to their daily lives, Geonwoo prepares for a head-on showdown with Baekjeong. Under the buddy rule "die together, live together, protect until the end," attention focuses on whether Geonwoo and WOOJIN can land a decisive blow against the vast evil organization without giving up.
Director Kim Joo Hwan said, "Bloodhounds has always dealt with themes of friendship, humanity and the clash of money," and added, "I thought the global illegal boxing league was the most attractive setting to embody the themes of this work," raising expectations.
The dazzling return of the Bloodhounds who will protect and bite until the end, the more brutal gangs of evil, and the evolved action that will deliver supreme catharsis — Bloodhounds 2 will be released on Apr. 3.
