Kim Moon-hee, attorney at law firm YulChon, which is representing The Boyz legally, said in an official statement on the 19th, "On behalf of The Boyz Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric (hereinafter "the artists"), we convey the artists' official position regarding the termination of their exclusive contracts and future activities."
Attorney Kim said, "The artists notified the termination of the exclusive contracts on Feb. 10, 2026, citing serious breaches of the exclusive contracts by ㈜One Hundred Label (hereinafter "the agency") and irreparable damage to the trust relationship, and accordingly the relevant exclusive contracts were lawfully terminated and their effect ended."
He added, "So far, the agency did not pay the artists normal settlement payments for all activities from July 2025 after paying the second-quarter 2025 settlement. Although the artists repeatedly requested to review basic documents such as the contract to verify the transparency of the settlements, the agency refused without justifiable reason, neglecting the management company's basic and essential obligations under the exclusive contract."
He also said, "Recent media reports have revealed circumstances in which the agency received advance payments on the order of hundreds of billions of won based on the artists' entertainment activities. Nevertheless, the agency has not offered any responsible explanation or convincing account for the current situation in which settlement payments are not being paid to the artists, and "the agency not only failed to properly support the various costs essential to the artists' entertainment activities, but effectively abandoned normal management duties by delaying payment for staff who work on site for months."
Accordingly, The Boyz members decided to terminate the exclusive contracts due to the breakdown of mutual trust. However, they agreed that there should be no transfer of harm from this incident to fans, partner companies, or other well-intentioned third parties, and said, "We have decided it will be difficult to hold the April concerts, and we promise to responsibly and faithfully carry out other already confirmed schedules to the end."
