JYP Entertainment newcomer boy group KickFlip proved their further developed stage capabilities through activities for the pre-release track "Twenty" (트웬티).
KickFlip will officially release their new mini album My First Kick (마이 퍼스트 킥) on Apr. 6. Ahead of that, they pre-released the track and music video for "Twenty" on the 9th and stoked comeback excitement. They appeared on music shows beginning with cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 12th, KBS 2TV's MUSIC BANK on the 13th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 14th, SBS's Inkigayo on the 15th, and MBC every1 and MBC M's "Show! Champion" on the 18th.
The six members captivated viewers with refreshing performances featuring handheld microphones on music shows. Having successfully concluded their first fan concert, 2026 KickFlip FAN-CON "From KickFlip, To WeFlip" (프롬 킥플립, 투 위플립), with 12 shows across five cities nationwide, KickFlip raised expectations for the new album by delivering a strengthened stage presence on music shows for the pre-release track.
K-pop fans who saw the "Twenty" stage praised, "It seems they improved since the fan concert," "Their stage feels full despite being rookies," "Handheld microphones were the best choice. Looking forward to the main promotions," "It feels like I'm overwhelmed by the radiance of being 20," "I've watched the 'all handheld microphone KickFlip video' so much it's wearing out."
KickFlip's new song "Twenty" features a sound that unfolds at a brisk pace and lyrically captures the complex, subtle emotions of excitement and regret about a new beginning. Maknae Donghyun participated in writing "Twenty," following his contributions to Mini Album 3 My First Flip (마이 퍼스트 플립) track "악몽을 꿨던 건 비밀이지만," and "처음 불러보는 노래," which earned the group's first terrestrial music show first place, completing the song's fresh sentiment.
Starting with their debut album Flip it, Kick it! (플립 잇, 킥 잇!), mini album 2 Kick Out, Flip Now! (킥 아웃, 플립 나우!), mini album 3 My First Flip, and digital single From KickFlip, To WeFlip (프롬 킥플립, 투 위플립), KickFlip has consistently been credited, and they participated in creating all tracks on the new release, consolidating the group's musical identity.
KickFlip's mini album 4 My First Kick and the title track "눈에 거슬리고 싶어" will be available to stream on various music sites from 6 p.m. on the 6th of next month.
