Actor Wi Ha-jun set viewers' heart rates exploding with a life-risking rescue, a heated confession and a shocking car crash ending in the drama "Siren."
In episode 6 of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "Siren," which aired on the 17th, Wi Ha-jun captivated viewers with explosive power that crossed romance and thriller as he approached the hidden wounds and truth of Han Seol-a (Park Minyoung), whom he had been tracking as a prime suspect, felt compassion, and burst into the emotions he had tried to ignore toward Han Seol-a.
Early in the episode, Wi Ha-jun grabbed attention by rescuing Seol-a, who was in danger, at a logistics warehouse called 'FELIX STORAGE' after following Han Seol-a, who had rushed somewhere after receiving threatening messages.
Especially after the rescue, he reached a climax by exploding with his suppressed true feelings to Seol-a, who asked him accusingly if he had come because he suspected her: "If it's worry, not suspicion! Even though they say your parents were killed, you keep looking for reasons why it's not you!"
In this scene Wi Ha-jun shed his cold investigator image and portrayed compassion and love for a woman with tearful eyes and a desperate voice, properly shaking women's hearts.
Seol-a, who opened her heart to Wooseok's sincerity, revealed the painful details of her parents' past fire incident and sobbed in Wooseok's arms. In this scene Wi Ha-jun silently received Han Seol-a's wounds and warmly embraced her, expressing the change in their relationship with density. In particular, Wi Ha-jun's delicate romantic gaze shown here added deep emotional immersion and captivated viewers.
He did not miss his main job as an insurance investigator. Wooseok discovered that Baek Jun-beom (Kim Junghyun) and Han Seol-a's first love Lee Su-ho, who went to Syria for volunteer work, shared a common denominator in the relief organization 'OnWorld.'
He was convinced that Baek Jun-beom knew far too much about Han Seol-a and showed obsessive interest because Lee Su-ho was connected. Wi Ha-jun's relentless pursuit to find clues about Baek Jun-beom's true identity drove dramatic tension and delivered the genre pleasure of a 'romance thriller.'
Wooseok, who contacted OnWorld employee Lee Gwang-jin, who knew the relationship between Lee Su-ho and Baek Jun-beom, met him at the airport after he returned from abroad and they drove away together.
In the car, Wooseok learned through the conversation with Lee Gwang-jin that Baek Jun-beom had been with Lee Su-ho in Syria.
At that moment, a vehicle stopped in the darkness suddenly appeared, and trying to avoid it, they caused an overturning accident.
Wooseok, bleeding and losing consciousness in the horribly overturned vehicle, and then Han Seol-a appearing at the scene as if foreseeing the accident and staring at Wooseok brought a huge shock to living rooms.
In the horrific accident scene, Wi Ha-jun realistically portrayed a life-or-death crisis, raising the drama's tension to its peak.
In this episode Wi Ha-jun perfectly fulfilled the central role that encompasses the whole drama by densely portraying a "healing romance" that embraces Han Seol-a's pain following his heated confession, along with his obsessiveness to reveal Baek Jun-beom's true identity.
Meanwhile, the drama "Siren," which has been drawing strong reactions with unpredictable, intense endings every episode, airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.
