Actor Nana showed a powerful presence in "Climax," raising the tension of the drama.
"Climax" depicts prosecutor Bang Taeseop (Ju Jihoon) who plunged into a cartel of power to reach the top position in Korea and the fierce survival struggle of those around him. Nana played Hwang Jeongwon, a character who secretly moves beside Bang Taeseop and provides information. As a key character holding the key to Pandora's box that reveals the true face of the power cartel, she is a figure with a densely layered narrative.
On the 16th and 17th, in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama "Climax" episodes 1 and 2, Nana first appeared and actively showcased her presence as Hwang Jeongwon, an informant who secretly moves beside Bang Taeseop.
Hwang Jeongwon secured information about the people Bang Taeseop was pursuing, and actively intervened in the scheme by disguising herself as a waitress to extract information. Jeongwon unabashedly took money in return for providing information, and in conversations with Bang Taeseop hinted at a long-standing connection, arousing curiosity about their relationship.
Also, Hwang Jeongwon contributed to securing the key information of the case by boldly continuing actions such as infiltrating as a background actor on set to follow Chu Sang-a (Ha Jiwon) and implanting a remote control device in Chu Sang-a's cell phone.
Nana convincingly portrayed Hwang Jeongwon's coldness with restrained eye contact and concise line delivery. She captured attention by succinctly conveying the character's personality while naturally portraying bold disguises and meticulous actions. Especially, even within a chic atmosphere, her detailed acting in reading and responding to situations vividly showed the charm befitting a character holding Pandora's key.
Thus, Nana appears as a shadow who carries out clandestine requests without surfacing, and every time she appears she further heightens the drama's tension.
