Indian-born broadcaster Lucky held his first daughter in his arms.
On the afternoon of the 18th, KBS2's The Return of SUPERMAN aired a segment showing 8-year late-in-life father Lucky preparing for his wife's childbirth.
Lucky, 48, and his 45-year-old Korean wife Shin Hye-eun emphasized that the pregnancy was natural and drew attention by citing a superfood favored by early pregnant women in India as the secret.
Lucky's wife, who decided on a cesarean delivery, headed to the operating room, and Lucky continuously shed tears, saying, "Having a child at an older age is really difficult, so I'm very worried and sorry."
After the wait, when Lucky met his daughter Ra-hee for the first time, he choked up saying, "Hello, it's Dad," and expressed, "I really became a dad. It's amazing."
He said, "I don't think I'll ever forget this feeling. I've never felt such emotion in my life. I became a father."
He left an emotional message for his wife and daughter, saying, "We met late, but thank you so much. You're the most wonderful mother in the world. Thank you for giving birth to a daughter like Rai, the best gift in the world. Ra-hee, Mom and Dad will truly be great parents."
