"Heart Signal 3" cast member and single mother Seo Eun-woo (formerly Seo Min-jae) has spoken publicly for the first time since giving birth.
On the 18th, according to a statement exclusively obtained by OSEN, O&N Law Office, which is representing Seo Eun-woo, urged A, the biological father of the child born to Seo Min-jae, to communicate regarding the child's birth and upbringing.
That day O&N Law Office said, "First, we deeply apologize for causing concern to many people due to a matter that arose from a personal relationship involving Ms. Seo Eun-woo," and added, "What Ms. Seo Eun-woo currently wants is only one thing. It is a responsible attitude as the child's father and sincere dialogue and consultation."
They went on, "Ms. Seo Eun-woo gave birth to the child in December 2025, and she has not fully recovered physically and is living alone, struggling to raise the child. No specific consultations or conversations with A, the child's biological father, regarding the child's birth and upbringing have taken place to date," explaining the current situation and adding, "In this situation, Ms. Seo Eun-woo hopes that at least minimal consultation and communication with A regarding the child's birth and upbringing will occur."
Previously, Seo Min-jae sparked controversy last May when she revealed her premarital pregnancy and disclosed the face, name and university of A, the child's father and her former partner. Afterward, A's side filed complaints against Seo Min-jae alleging violations of the anti-stalking law, confinement and assault, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), and the two sides are currently engaged in legal battles.
Later, Seo Min-jae reported last December that she had given birth to a son alone, and she is still raising him alone amid a lack of communication with the biological father.
Regarding this, Seo Eun-woo's side said, "A's side has recently taken civil and criminal legal actions against Ms. Seo Eun-woo, and procedures in that regard are underway. Recently, we even received an absurd additional accusation that a hospital-related document submitted by Ms. Seo Eun-woo was forged, but Ms. Seo Eun-woo's legal team has reconfirmed that the document was not forged."
Seo Eun-woo's side said, "Ms. Seo Eun-woo has not filed any separate criminal complaints or civil damage lawsuits against the other party to date; rather, she has only filed a paternity recognition claim in order to protect the child's rights," and added, "What she has continuously requested is basic dialogue and consultation regarding the child's birth and upbringing. However, no specific consultations or conversations regarding the child's birth and upbringing have yet taken place."
They added, "Ms. Seo Eun-woo's family did inform the other party of the child's birth, but it has not led to specific consultations to date," and said, "After the child's birth, consultation and communication between the parents are above all important for the child's welfare and rights. Ms. Seo Eun-woo hopes that both parties will engage in sincere dialogue for the child, not expand legal disputes or exchange views through the courts."
Finally, Seo Eun-woo's side concluded, "Ms. Seo Eun-woo sincerely hopes that amicable consultations with the biological father will take place so that the child will not suffer unnecessary wounds in the future related to his birth," and said, "The door to dialogue is always open. We expect sincere talks that put the child's welfare and rights first."
