Recently, Seoeunwoo (formerly Seominjae), a cast member of "Heart Signal 3" who recently gave birth alone, has officially requested a conversation with the child's biological father.
According to a statement exclusively obtained by OSEN on the 18th, O&N Law Office, which is acting as Seoeunwoo's legal representative, issued a statement requesting communication with Mr. A, the child's father, regarding the child's birth and upbringing.
Earlier, during the process of disclosing her premarital pregnancy in May last year, Seoeunwoo revealed the face and name of the child's father and former lover, Mr. A, as well as the university he was attending, which sparked controversy. In response, Mr. A's side filed a complaint against Seominjae for violations including the Anti-Stalking Act, confinement and assault, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), and the two sides are currently engaged in legal disputes.
Amid ongoing legal disputes, Seoeunwoo gave birth to a son alone in December last year. She is still unable to communicate with the child's father and is raising the child alone.
Accordingly, Seoeunwoo's side said, "First, we deeply apologize for causing concern to many people due to a matter that arose from a personal relationship," adding, "There is only one thing Seoeunwoo currently wishes for: a responsible attitude as the child's father and sincere dialogue and consultation."
They continued, "Seoeunwoo gave birth to the child in December 2025 and has not yet fully recovered physically, and she is living alone while struggling to raise the child. No specific consultations or discussions regarding the child's birth and upbringing with Mr. A, the child's father, have taken place to date," adding, "In this situation, Seoeunwoo hopes that at least minimal consultation and communication regarding the child's birth and upbringing will occur with Mr. A, the biological father."
Seoeunwoo's side added, "Currently, Mr. A's side has taken civil and criminal legal action against Seoeunwoo, and procedures are underway. Recently, we even received an absurd additional accusation that a hospital document submitted by Seoeunwoo was forged, but Seoeunwoo's side, through the legal team, reconfirmed that the document was not forged."
Meanwhile, Seoeunwoo's side said, "Seoeunwoo has not filed any separate criminal complaints or damage claims against the other party to date, but she has filed only a paternity recognition suit to protect the child's rights and interests," adding, "What she has continuously requested is a basic conversation and consultation regarding the child's birth and upbringing. However, specific consultations or discussions regarding the child's birth and upbringing have not yet taken place."
In addition, "Although Seoeunwoo's family conveyed the fact of the child's birth to the other party, it has not led to concrete consultations to date," adding, "Consultation and communication between parents after a child's birth are, above all, important for the child's welfare and rights. Seoeunwoo also hopes that both parties will have a sincere dialogue solely for the child, not an expansion of legal disputes or an exchange of opinions through the court."
Finally, Seoeunwoo's side concluded, "Seoeunwoo sincerely hopes that amicable consultations with the biological father will take place so that the child will not suffer unnecessary wounds related to his birth in the future," adding, "The door to dialogue is always open. We hope sincere dialogue that prioritizes the child's welfare and rights will take place."
