Singer-songwriter Lee Jae shared his feelings as he embraced an Oscar and concluded the journey of "K-Pop Demon Hunters."
Lee Jae posted several photos and a long message on his social media on the 18th.
First, Lee Jae began, "From my bedroom in Brooklyn to performing on the Oscar stage. And to finish this beautiful journey with an Oscar in our hands… I cannot express in words my gratitude to everyone who shared this long and unforgettable journey with me."
Lee Jae continued, "It was truly an honor to be able to share Korean culture on that stage. I thank the Academy for recognizing the efforts of our team behind 'Golden.'"
Earlier, at the 2026 Academy Awards held on the 15th, the song "Golden," the OST of the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," won the original song award. Lee Jae sang and composed "Golden" and accepted the trophy at the ceremony.
Lee Jae also expressed gratitude to the production team, saying, "Congratulations on winning best animated feature, and I am endlessly grateful for giving me the opportunity to compose and sing for Lumi."
Lee Jae sincerely thanked those who worked with and helped him, saying, "Thanks to all the cast and crew of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' Thanks to my co-writers on 'Golden.' And thanks to the truly wonderful person who involved me in this project."
Along with his remarks, Lee Jae also released photos of himself holding the Oscar trophy. He recalled the emotion of the moment with images on the red carpet and of him kissing the trophy.
