Singer Jo Myeong-seop is taking a new leap forward by signing an exclusive contract with Artsro, the country's largest concert distributor.
Through this contract, Jo Myeong-seop will present high-quality stages that maximize his unique musical world based on a more systematic and complete concert planning and production system.
Jo Myeong-seop is an artist who has long been loved by the public for his distinctive vocal technique and voice that evoke nostalgia for bygone days. In particular, like the nicknames "Korea's Michael Bublé" and "phonograph voice," he has secured a fan base that spans generations with a timbre that carries an analog sensibility and deep resonance.
He gained recognition by winning the final of KBS1's 'I love singing - special project I love trot' in 2019, and he solidified his position by earning explosive support from middle-aged and older fans with his bel canto technique and emotion beyond his years. The epithet "human phonograph" also reflects this musical identity.
With the exclusive contract with Artsro, Jo Myeong-seop plans to broaden his activities by presenting stages that encompass a variety of genres, including traditional popular songs as well as nostalgic pop songs and chansons.
In particular, he will begin full-scale performances starting in May and will continue stages where he directly engages with audiences across the country. Meetings with fans who have waited a long time are also expected to expand further.
An Artsro official said, "We will present concert content that can maximize Jo Myeong-seop's unique musicality and sensibility," and added, "We will spare no support to establish him as a premium concert brand that spans generations."
Meanwhile, Jo Myeong-seop has completed preparations to return with more mature musicality and performances after recovering his health, and plans to continue active activities starting in May.<
