A large-scale performance combining film and music, "Titanic live film concert," will come to domestic audiences in April.
"Titanic" will visit Korean audiences on April 25 at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts' Grand Theater with the "Titanic live film concert." This performance features a real-time recreation of James Horner's original score from the Academy Award-winning film "Titanic" synchronized to the film. The overwhelming visual splendor of the large screen and the live performance by a 120-piece orchestra and choir are expected to offer audiences an emotionally moving experience.
The conductor is Siheung Yeong, a leading conductor in the film concert field, and soprano Eleanor Grant participates as the vocalist. Notably, Irish whistle and bagpipe player Eric Rigler, who took part in the original recording of the film's signature song "My Heart Will Go On," will visit Korea to perform on stage, which is eye-catching. Rigler will reproduce the original's characteristic lyricism and depth live, offering audiences a special emotional experience.
Joining them are top domestic ensembles Korea Coop Orchestra and Winner Opera Choir, who together will fill the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts' Grand Theater, with its 3,000 seats, with uninterrupted emotion. The production is handled by classical and film concert specialist Avex Classics International, which will present highly polished sound based on accumulated technology and know-how.
The true value of this concert lies in the overwhelming multisensory immersion that breaks through the screen. At the moment when the passionate sound of a 120-piece orchestra is added to the tragic scene of the Titanic sinking, the audience will experience a tragedy so moving it borders on shudder. It promises to be a special journey to feel in full the delicate yet vast musical spectrum left by James Horner in a single sitting.
Meanwhile, tickets for the "Titanic live film concert" can be reserved through Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and NOL Ticket.<
