YouTuber Kim Seon-tae said he has not yet received YouTube revenue settlement.
On the 17th, a video titled "our neighborhood promotion" was posted on the YouTube channel "Kim Seon-tae."
In the video, Kim Seon-tae introduced Munhwa-dong in Chungju, North Chungcheong, and shared his recent daily life. Kim Seon-tae said, "Daebang's first promotion," and explained, "Didn't I find an office? I'll promote the neighborhood where the office is located. Although it's gone now, in the past the city hall was there, so in a way it's an old downtown."
Kim Seon-tae, who said he has been busy with an onslaught of emails, said, "I read 50 and replied over two hours. I thought one worry was eased, but when I refreshed it increased to 80. New emails keep coming in," adding, "It's hard, but I have to do what needs to be done."
Among this, Kim Seon-tae said, "My content isn't originally long. Did you think it would be long? It's not profitable, so why make it long. I haven't even applied for revenue yet."
Kim Seon-tae added, "The devilish thing about Google is that revenue applications aren't approved immediately. They delay it a lot. For example, if you reach 1 million subscribers you have to wait about a week. It isn't reflected immediately. Even if you apply, the review is very slow. It's still under review, so I wonder if it's a trick."
Meanwhile, after resigning from his public servant job last month, Kim Seon-tae launched a YouTube channel. He has uploaded a total of four videos so far, and the total views reach 19 million.
