'You Quiz on the Block' actor Son Sook could not hide her delight over her granddaughter Ha Ye-rin.
On the 18th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz'), 'Bridgerton 4' actor Ha Ye-rin appeared. Ha Ye-rin, who became the first Korean to take a lead role and presented a love story that gained popularity worldwide, is also actor Son Sook's granddaughter.
Son Sook said, "There is a behind-the-scenes story about this audition. She had three rounds of auditions at my house. I waited thinking they would contact us, but even after a week there was no contact. I was anxious," adding, "The result of the audition was secondary; I couldn't sleep worrying about how much Ha Ye-rin would be hurt if it didn't work out and how I would comfort her. I cautiously asked if they hadn't contacted her, and then we got contact. It turned out they only spoke with my daughter," expressing her love for her granddaughter.
Son Sook said, "The day 'Bridgerton 4' came out I watched all four episodes. My eyesight is poor so I don't read TV or books, but I really enjoyed it." Son Sook has previously revealed that her eyesight has deteriorated significantly, making reading itself difficult. Suddenly Son Sook said, "And those who watched will know, there are erotic scenes," and Ha Ye-rin exclaimed, "Grandma, did you watch all of that?" startled. Son Sook laughed and said, "It was embarrassing. I'm an actress too, so I felt embarrassed."
