With BTS's Gwanghwamun concert three days away, President Lee Jae-myung emphasized safety.
On the 18th, President Lee Jae-myung posted a long message on social media saying, 3/21 Saturday at Gwanghwamun Square, a performance by Korea's proud artist BTS will take place.
The president said, "We hope it will be a meaningful time to share our beautiful cultural heritage and the appeal of K-culture under the theme of "Arirang." We are making every preparation together with relevant ministries, local governments, the police, the fire service and related agencies so the event can proceed safely," adding, "We will prepare meticulously and thoroughly for all procedures, from managing traffic and crowds before and after the performance to responding to emergencies."
He continued, "I believe our citizens will, as always, consider one another, maintain order and show mature civic consciousness. Please cooperate with on-site safety staff and be sure to report any ticket scalping that undermines market order."
Finally, he said, "I hope this BTS performance will once again prove the great power of culture created by Korea and become a special moment that will be long remembered by people around the world."
Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth full-length album Arirang (ARIRANG) at 1 p.m. on the 20th and make a full-group comeback. Then on the 21st at 8 p.m., they will hold "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" (BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG) around Gwanghwamun Square.
