ILLIT presented big laughs with an unusual party opposing Wonhee's "adult declaration," as Wonhee turned 20 this year.
ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) released a new episode of "SUPER ILLIT" season 3 titled "Lee Wonhee 20th opposed party" on the team's official YouTube channel on the 16th.
The production team held a celebration party for Wonhee, who had been eagerly awaiting adulthood. But members who wanted to keep his youthful appearance denied the "adult Wonhee." They even covered the word "congratulations" on a banner with the word "opposed," leaving him embarrassed.
Wonhee did not give in and jokingly told Iroha, the team's only teenager, "Babies sleep at home; the people in their 20s will go to a late-night movie." The members suggested, "They're both babies. Wonhee should wait just one year until Iroha turns 20," prompting uproarious laughter.
The four members then wrote a special contract expressing affectionate requests that Wonhee remain ILLIT's precious "maknaes." They filled it with cute clauses such as "maintain soft cheek fat," "don't lose curiosity," and "keep playing and joking together like now," creating a warm atmosphere.
Just as the party mood peaked, an unexpected game began. Production staff wearing T-shirts that read "absolutely protect Wonhee's cheek fat" started sabotaging by taking 20 candles from the celebration cake. The members chased the production staff to retrieve the scattered candles, but despite their vigorous efforts they were bewildered to see the number of candles remained incomplete.
A twist unfolded. Members who had been secretly staking out the party discovered, to their shock, that Iroha was a spy helping the production staff. After ups and downs, ILLIT safely lit the 20th birthday cake candles and celebrated Wonhee's new start together.
"SUPER ILLIT" depicts ILLIT's challenge to become "jjang (ZZANG)" in all fields, not just singing and performance. The series highlights members' sincere and quirky charms separate from their glamorous stage personas, making it a favorite self-produced content among the 10–20 generation. Season 3, which drew intense attention with every episode, will go on a short break after this installment.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will release a new album, MAMIHLAPINATAPAI, on Apr. 30 and return to promotions with the title track It's Me. Having shown trendy music and concepts with each album, expectations among global fans are rising for the new looks they will present with this release.
