According to video released by E! News on the 16th (local time), Timothée Chalamet's sister, Pauline Hope Chalamet, showed a "chilly attitude" toward Kylie Jenner at the 2026 Academy Awards.
After a video circulated on social media showing Pauline and Kylie interacting somewhat coldly, body language expert Susan Constantine told Page Six in an exclusive interview that this was the case.
In the released video, Pauline was talking with her brother Timothée Chalamet, and Kylie Jenner was seated behind them. Jenner stood up to embrace Pauline when she recognized her, but Pauline appeared somewhat hesitant.
The body language expert said, "Pauline immediately showed a dismissive attitude toward Kylie. Kylie seemed startled by the unexpected situation while seated, but she made eye contact and lifted her brow to show genuine interest."
He also said of Chalamet's sister, "She showed a nonverbal chilly attitude. It felt impersonal and dismissive and lacked sincerity," and pointed out, "Pauline's body language quickly shifted to moving away from Kylie. Hesitation was evident in Pauline's body language before the formal hug." He described it as "nonverbal arrogance."
As the video drew attention, netizens left comments suggesting Chalamet's sister did not seem to like his girlfriend. Timothée Chalamet was nominated for best actor at this ceremony for the film "Marty Supreme," but failed to win.
